





Our School
Flowery Branch High School is located about 45 miles northeast of Atlanta, Georgia in the suburbs of Hall County. FBHS is one of seven high schools in the Hall County School System and serves approximately 1,600 students.
In 2006, Flowery Branch High School earned the "School of Excellence" award for its commitment to rigor and high standards from its students. In 2012, Flowery Branch High School became a school of choice by becoming a charter academy.
David Wiebers (2005-2010)
Flowery Branch High School's Director of Bands from 2005-2010 was Mr. David Wiebers. Mr. Wiebers, a native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from The University of Georgia, and Master of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music.
Under his leadership, the performing bands at Flowery Branch received superior ratings in concert and marching band festivals and performance evaluations. The band made appearances at the 2005 Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida, the 2006 Sugar Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia, the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Festival in Washington, D.C. in addition to performances in New York City.
He currently serves as band director at Arlington Heights High School near Fort Worth, Texas.

Dennis Naughton (2010-Present)
In 2010, our current Director of Bands, Mr. Dennis Naughton came to FBHS. He has worked tirelessly to build a strong and diverse band program.
Through his vision and leadership, the FBHS Band program has grown tremendously with nearly a dozen separate units performing a multitude of musical genres. In just three short years, Mr. Naughton has elevated the musicianship of the band and our profile in the community.
During his tenure, the band has traveled to Orlando, Florida to play in the halftime show at the Champs Sports Bowl; they have marched in the televised Children's Healthcare of Atlanta parade and made numerous public appearances at locations such as Six Flags Over Georgia and the Georgia Music Educators Association.

The FBHS Band Parents Association, Inc. is a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to support the programs and students of the Flowery Branch High School Band. We accomplish our mission in a variety of ways including: Volunteering, Fund Raising and Administrative support.
